Role Summary:

We’re seeking a mid-to-senior Frontend Engineer to help lead the development of a new greenfield application, working closely with engineering and QA to deliver high-quality, scalable features. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomous environments, collaborates well across teams, and brings a strong focus on performance, usability, and modern frontend best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and innovation of the frontend, designing sophisticated, reusable component libraries and UI patterns in Svelte
  • Build responsive, intuitive interfaces tailored to complex legal workflows, including real-time collaboration, data visualization, and AI-powered features (e.g., document summaries, case insights).
  • Optimize frontend performance and scalability to handle large datasets such as case files, timelines, and analytics dashboards.
  • Implement best-in-class UI/UX practices, ensuring full WCAG accessibility compliance, cross-browser compatibility, and seamless mobile responsiveness.
  • Own the complete lifecycle of major features—from gathering requirements and prototyping through implementation, testing, CI/CD deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Enforce engineering excellence by conducting thorough code reviews, writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end), and maintaining strong observability.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior frontend engineers in modern JavaScript and/or Svelte best practices, component-driven development, and clean, scalable UI architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and legal domain experts to translate complex user needs into elegant, high-impact solutions.
  • Actively participate in cross-team planning, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and frontend standards discussions.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs, UI decisions, and user impact clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, while helping shape the frontend roadmap and standards.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional frontend development experience with expert-level mastery of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Svelte
  • Proven production experience building complex, data-intensive single-page applications (SPAs) that handle large datasets and real-time interactions.
  • Strong, demonstrable portfolio showcasing exceptional UI/UX design, responsive layouts, high performance optimization, and full accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG).
  • Solid understanding of backend integration, with bonus preference for experience consuming **.NET / C#** APIs.
  • Exposure to AI-enhanced user interfaces, intelligent features (e.g., summaries, insights), or tools built for legal, technical, or workflow-heavy domains.
  • Prior work in regulated industries or applications managing high-stakes, sensitive data is highly valued.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate UI decisions, user flows, and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Growth mindset, strong collaborative approach, genuine passion for mentoring others, and proven track record of independently owning and delivering high-impact features under tight, ambitious timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred—equivalent experience, certifications, or demonstrated expertise with a strong production track record considered equally.
