Responsibilities
- Take ownership of critical platform features from design → implementation → operation
- Design scalable, resilient systems that support our engineering teams as we grow
- Build and maintain the infrastructure and automation that keeps Filevine running smoothly
- Partner with ML teams to run state-of-the-art ML infrastructure and pipelines
- Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, future-proof solutions without the drama
- Review code thoughtfully, mentor engineers, and help set the standard for platform excellence
- Continuously improve systems, tooling, and processes to reduce complexity and friction
Qualifications
- 5+ years building and operating software systems from inception to release to maintenance
- Experience leading complex cross-team engineering efforts and designing scalable platform services
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation
- Comfortable reducing complexity and building systems that last
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative environment (async, clear communication, ownership)
- Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiar with or open to using: Python, Temporal.io, Terraform, Kubernetes (we care more about engineering skill than specific tools)
